We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting everyone to different extents. We have been monitoring the constantly changing situation and making adjustments as needed.
We wanted to keep you informed about how we are handling rent for the next few months. In accordance with federal guidance and to assist you with your cash flow, we will waive late fees and allow you to delay any rent payments you are unable to make until July 25, 2020. Any unpaid rent for April through July will be deferred until July 25, 2020. During this time, rent will still be charged and the full unpaid amount will be owed on July 26, 2020 unless you have made other acceptable arrangements in writing with Boyd Homes prior to that time.
In the meantime, if your income is being affected by the pandemic, we encourage you to take advantage of the expanded relief Congress has made available. We will do our part by working with you while you work your way through these new programs.
We want to reassure you that no one will be evicted over this period simply by reason of being unable to pay rent. You must, however, continue to follow all of the other provisions of your lease, such as maintaining insurance, being respectful of others, parking, etc.
If you are able, we encourage you to make payments to the extent you can so you don’t face a burdensome bill in August. Also, when those who can pay do so, it gives us greater flexibility to work with those who truly can’t pay.
Please contact Property Management to let us know what you are able to pay, and we can set up an arrangement that can help you stay on top of things. If your situation changes, just call management again. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out by phone or email, as our offices remain closed for in-person visits but otherwise open for business.
